How did you begin loving jewelry?
My mom was this super wonderful, modern girl. She beloved her silk robes and classic fragrance bottles and normally experienced her hair performed. I swear I never understood the girl without having a total face of make-up and the most lovely jewelry and outfit to match. So, my fascination started with hoping on all her jewelry and dancing close to in her clothes.
I was also very intrigued by science and making items with my hands – my dad was a building employee and my grandfather was a master carpenter – we had a large amount of artists, makers, and sculptors in the loved ones.
One particular day, my mom acquired me this crystal developing package – you blend salts, develop it in the yard, and you are still left with these quartz crystal clusters. My mom gave me her pear-shaped diamond ring (that was lacking the diamond) and instructed I make one particular of my crystals to match in the setting. The salt crystals had been very brittle so I applied my mom’s nail data files and my dad’s carpentry equipment to trend this pear-shaped stone. Individuals are some of my earliest recollections of jewelry creating.
